Circulation Team Mission Statement

The mission of the Circulation Team is to promote student success and to enhance lifelong learning by providing courteous, accurate and efficient services and access to information within a friendly and approachable atmosphere.

As a gateway to our Library, the Circulation Team will:

  1. Provide for the greatest possible use of library materials by effective management of the circulating, non-circulating, and reserve collections.
  2. Provide assistance in meeting information needs though resources in our library including the use of the local catalog, online databases, and the Internet.
  3. Provide assistance in meeting information needs though resources outside our library including Interlibrary Loan and referrals to other libraries, include PSAIL Consortium and public libraries.
  4. Provide quality service, ensuring that customers feel welcome and valued; constantly identifying, developing, and implementing innovative ways to provide better service.
  5. Provide a work environment that encourages creativity, teamwork and mutual respect.
  6. Provide a program of training that produces skilled and competent student assistants and staff.
