Sometimes while checking an item from a multi-volume set out to a patron, a pop-up screen appears, claiming the book is withdrawn and cannot be circulated. While it may really be withdrawn, that not always the case, due to WMS problems. To check, try to find the item by title within Discover Items, and if it’s there, compare with the item barcode to ensure it is really the same item. If you’re certain it’s the same, click on View/Edit. If the Receipt Status says “Unknown,” change it to “Received and complete or ceased.” Save the record, and try checking out the item again. If that still doesn’t work, bring it back to Cataloging and we’ll investigate the problem.
