  • Electronic books include Bible commentaries, dictionaries, encyclopedias and over 14,000 books in the NetLibrary collection.

Articles in journals, magazines and newspapers are grouped into databases. Databases can be either general (covering many subjects) or specific to one subject (e.g. Nursing).

  • General Databases: Academic Search Premier, ProQuest and JSTOR are great places to start your research
  • Find databases in your subject area:
  • Journal Title Search - locate journals, magazines and newspapers by title (e.g. New York Times or JAMA). DO NOT search for article titles or subjects.
  • Interlibrary Loan allows you to have items from other libraries delivered to NU!
  • Reserves - if your professor has directed you to a specific article it may be on reserve.
