Available in print (BF431 .B932 – General Collection) and online through the Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print database.

The Mental Measurements Yearbook series contains information about testing instruments within areas such as psychology, education, business, and leadership. All MMY entries contain descriptive information (e.g., test purpose, publisher, pricing) and edited review(s) written by leading content area experts. To be included in the MMY, a test must be commercially available, published in the English language, and be new or revised since it last appeared in the series.

The contents of each volume of the Mental Measurements Yearbook is unique — i.e., reviews that appear in the 9th edition do not appear in the 10th edition, and vice versa.

If you do not know which edition of the Mental Measurements Yearbook you need, search the Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print database.

If you prefer to use the print version of the MMY, consult Tests reviewed in The Mental Measurements Yearbook series, from the 9th edition (1985) to the present or Tests in Print (BF 431 .B933 2006  – General Collection) to find out which edition you need.

Search for reviews of testing instruments in psychology and related fields.

  1. Use Advanced Search.
  2. Enter < reliability OR validity > into the first search box.
  3. Enter the name of the test into the second search box. Change the search option to TM Tests & Measures using the drop-down menu to the right of the search box.
  4. If you would like to limit your results to articles we have in full-text online, check the box under Linked Full Text. If you do NOT check the box, your results will include articles that we can obtain through interlibrary loan (ILL).
CINAHL

Search for reviews of testing instruments in nursing and allied health, including mental health.

  1. Use Advanced Search.
  2. Enter < reliability OR validity > into the first search box.
  3. Enter the name of the test into the second search box. Change the search option to IN Instrumentation using the drop-down menu to the right of the search box.
  4. If you would like to limit your results to articles we have in full-text online, check the box under Full Text. If you do NOT check the box, your results will include articles that we can obtain through interlibrary loan (ILL).

  3. Enter the name of the test into the second search box.
