The NU Library has a subscription to the New York Times which includes free access to nytimes.com and apps for Android and iOS tablets and smartphones for all current students and employees.

Create an Account
ALERT: This page is for the NU located near Seattle. Google likes to send students from other NU schools here. Make sure you are in the right place!
- Access comes in the form of an Academic Pass which is valid for one year. Each year you will need to visit the link below to claim a new annual pass.
- Visit http://www.nytimes.com/Pass and create an account using your NU email address to get your pass.
- If you need help, this video walks you through the process of signing up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYXw3aAmZY8
If you have an individual subscription to nytimes.com, you should be able to cancel that subscription and then follow the above signup process to get a free pass. You will not receive a refund for prepaid subscriptions.
Renew Your Subscription
Visit http://www.nytimes.com/Pass each year to get a new annual pass. You will not receive a renewal reminder when your academic pass expires; your subscription will stop working without explanation. We recommend creating an annual Outlook reminder to renew your subscription.
Washington Post
The Washington Post does not have an option for libraries to subscribe, but rather offers a reduced cost subscription to anyone with a .edu email address.
